OoT3D Model Importer
Turn ModLoader64 Ocarina of Time player models (.pak / .zobj) and voice packs into an Ocarina of Time 3D mod for Citra or a modded 3DS.
Everything runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded, and no game files are hosted here: you provide them from your own copy of OoT3D.
1 Mod files
ML64 .pak files, .zip files or loose .zobj files. Add an adult model, a child model, equipment packs and/or a voice pack. MM models inside a pack are skipped.
Need a model? Download custom player models from the ModLoader64 models page.
Playing the OoT3D Randomizer? Add your seed's code.ips too (with or without a model) to get Extra Buttons: ZL and ZR use items I and II, and the D-pad holds four more items.
2 Your OoT3D game files
From your own extracted romfs (ExtractedRomFS). Pick the files listed below, or pick the whole romfs folder. A randomizer seed's code.ips can be picked here too.
- Add mod files first to see which game files are needed.
3 Output
On a 3DS? OoT Model Manager
A homebrew app for console players. It switches between your converted characters and voice packs, and adds Extra Buttons to each new randomizer seed, on the 3DS itself, so the SD card doesn't have to go back to a PC every time.
- It only loads models and voice packs already converted on this page. The conversion itself is not done on the console: convert here first, then drop the downloaded zip into the
OoTModelManagerfolder on your SD card, as it is. - What it does on its own is patch your seeds: after every new randomizer seed, open the app and choose Apply patch to add Extra Buttons and put your voice pack back.
Copy it into the 3ds folder on your SD card and run it from the Homebrew Launcher. How to set it up and use it.
Good to know
- Results vary from model to model: some held items may sit slightly differently than on the N64, and the first-person slingshot can show a small stray sliver.
- Tunic colours (Kokiri / Goron / Zora) work for adult models, and you can pick your own in step 1; a child model has one tunic colour, as in the base game. The OoT3D Randomizer's Custom Tunic Colors option is not compatible with imported models: leave it off, or add your seed's
code.ipsin step 1 and it is turned off for you. - Extra Buttons for the randomizer: on the Items page, hover an item and press ZL, ZR or a D-pad direction to put it there. ZL and ZR are the game's own I and II slots; the D-pad slots show at the top left of the top screen and reset when the game restarts. It works with USA and Europe seeds (Citra or console) made by randomizer v4.0.2 or nightly 6bd4b80, and ZL / ZR need a New 3DS / 2DS (or Citra). The Extra Buttons code is open: anyone may use and modify it, for example to add it to official randomizer builds or to other projects. Extra Buttons source on GitHub.
- A voice pack replaces Link's voice clips; any of Link's voice clips the pack doesn't cover are silenced.
